Salla meets with the German Ambassador, Bergner: Partnership in agriculture and rural development deepens!
The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Andis Salla, hosted today in a meeting the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Tirana, Karl Bergner, Dr. Iven Schad from the Economic Cooperation Sector, as well as the GIZ representative for the SRD program, Mattia Wegmann.
During the meeting, the sustainable partnership between Albania and Germany in the field of agriculture and rural development was reaffirmed, and discussions were held on deepening cooperation in new strategic projects aimed at modernizing the agricultural sector.
Minister Salla appreciated the long-term support of the German government through GIZ projects, technical assistance and expertise in key areas such as food security, agricultural innovation and strengthening institutional capacities.
"The partnership with Germany remains an essential pillar in our journey towards Albania 2030, with the aim of developing a modern, sustainable and competitive agricultural sector," stressed Salla.
The parties shared a common stance to continue with projects that have yielded concrete results on the ground, as well as to support new initiatives that contribute to the improvement of agricultural infrastructure and the country's European integration.
