How much money did the KPP collect in 2024 from tenders? - The state budget collected 59 million lek in financial fees
The Public Procurement Commission, in December of last year, registered 90 complaints about public procurement. However, according to the data of the Public Procurement Commission Bulletin, for the year 2024, it registered a total of 1152 complaints from economic operators.
According to the same data, it is estimated that in the entire year 2024, a total of around 172.8 million lek were collected in financial fees, as guarantees for procurement procedures to economic operators. These financial fees, which were returned to economic operators at the end of the review of procurement procedures, are around 127.1 million lek.
But how much money will be deposited in the state budget for tender procedures?
According to the Bulletin, throughout 2024, a total of around 59 million lek in financial fees will be paid into the state budget, after the review of procurement procedures has been completed.
Meanwhile, the Albanian government has changed the appeal deadlines for all economic operators participating in procurement procedures.
Now, entities will be able to complain to the Public Procurement Commission within 7 days of receiving the notification from the state institution for procurement procedures below the high monetary threshold and within 10 days for procurement procedures above the high monetary threshold. Complaints could be made within 5 days until now.
