How much do hail nets cost? - Up to 3500 euros/dynym. Current costs for agricultural greenhouses
Almost every year, due to unstable weather conditions, heavy rainfall, hail or snow, tons of Albanian farmers' produce are destroyed, wasting their hard work and causing serious economic consequences.
The situation is even more problematic due to the lack of an agricultural insurance scheme, thus leaving farmers without a "roof".
Under these conditions, investment in weather protection systems becomes necessary.
But how much does a hail net currently cost on the market?
Referring to data obtained from businesses that provide this service, the hail net is estimated to cost around 2000-3500 euros per dynyme. However, despite the fact that the Ministry of Agriculture has made support available through the investment scheme, interest in investments in hail nets has been low and the reason for this is the parcelization of land. According to entities that provide this service, if the land is divided into several parcels that have a distance between them, the costs increase significantly.
On the other hand, agricultural greenhouses are also investments that are being supported and that are in the interest of farmers. But how much does their installation cost?
Companies in the market state that to build an agricultural greenhouse, the cost varies from 9-18 thousand euros per hectare, depending on its construction.
The economic model greenhouse costs 10,000 euros per dyne, which is the most suitable model for the Albanian climate, which includes an arch with a roof and allows dew not to fall on the plants and protects them from diseases. This greenhouse is characterized by bolted fastenings and not welding and is called a demountable greenhouse.
While the maximum price reaches 18 thousand euros/dynes, and is for heavier constructions. These are greenhouses with more automatic processes, computerized opening, computerized irrigation systems, etc.
Another scheme supported with government funding is drip irrigation.
Drip irrigation costs a minimum of 60 euros per dunyam, but this structure is changed every year, because the pipes are usable for one year. While the computer irrigation model has higher costs. Where the automatic computer costs 15 thousand euros and the pipes cost 120 euros per dunyam. The computer has a 5-year warranty.
