How many businesses are registered by nationality in 2024? - According to the legal side, subjects such as Natural Persons lead with 12,910 in total

Referring to OpenData data, fewer businesses were registered in 2024 than in 2023. In the same data, it is estimated that 17,458 businesses were registered by nationality in total. But comparing it with the year 2023, 845 fewer were registered.
But how are businesses divided by nationality?
According to OpenData, 15805 100% Albanian businesses have been registered in total. But foreign companies, i.e. businesses with 100% foreign owners, in Albania during 2024 were registered 1422 in total. Thus marking an increase of 3 businesses more than 2023.
The data report that there are 223 joint businesses, that is, with Albanian and foreign owners. But if we compare it with the year 2023, there is a decrease in registrations in 78 less registered businesses.
Regarding the registration of Albanian state-owned businesses, in the last year 7 were registered in total, while in 2023 only 6 such were registered.
But comparing the prices in terms of the legal form of registration, more were opened as a Natural Person.
Where a natural person is an individual who seeks to exercise an independent activity and is self-employed, but who has an annual business turnover of 5 to 8 million lek. From the data, it can be seen that a total of 12910 businesses have been registered in total. Meanwhile, businesses such as limited liability companies also have a high number of registrations, reaching 4445 in total during 2024.
