Funds for MPs' travel and per diems are increased - the 2025 budget is approved in the Commission, on December 3 it goes to the session
The Economy and Finance Commission has approved the 2025 budget item by item, which will then be voted on in the plenary session.
The draft law has been approved with several requests for changes filed by parliamentary committees and summarized in a final report.
Most of the changes are related to increased operating and capital expenditures for some institutions as well as more funds for travel and per diems for MPs.

"The reserve fund will go from 2.7 billion ALL to 3 billion ALL. Additional funds for MPs' per diems and travel. And capital expenditures should increase by ALL 50 million, mainly for cyber security and equipment purchases"
Meanwhile, the opposition MPs have shown dissatisfaction with the changes made and have not given their approval for the draft.

The budget for the next year will be voted on in the plenary session on December 3.
For the year 2025, the Albanian government has foreseen a budget of 8.2 billion euros, which aims to fulfill national priorities in various fields.
