Landslides on the Librazhd-Pogradec road/ ARRSH: Movement prohibited for heavy vehicles and buses
The circulation of heavy tonnage vehicles and buses on the Librazhd - Pogradec axis will be prohibited.
Through an official announcement, the Albanian Road Authority announced that the situation at the site of the landslide in this segment, at the point known as Arrat e Gurrës, has deteriorated significantly in recent hours. After on-site assessments, the ARRSH, in coordination with the State Police, has decided to stop the movement of heavy tonnage vehicles and buses until further notice.
The ARA announced that the measure was taken for safety reasons, aiming to guarantee the protection of the lives of road users and prevent possible incidents in the area where the terrain continues to be unstable.
The institution calls on transporters and heavy vehicle drivers to avoid this axis and choose alternative routes until the situation is fully stabilized. In the meantime, maintenance teams and specialists continue to monitor the landslide area to assess its further development.
ARA requests citizens' understanding, emphasizing that the restriction is a temporary and necessary measure to guarantee road safety.
