Employment programs are reviewed - How will the offer be adapted to the demands of the unemployed?
The government will review the employment programs in order to integrate the unemployed into the market.
In the policy document "National Reform Agenda 2024-2027 within the framework of the EU instrument, the provision of new and diversified active labor market programs aimed at supporting job seekers who benefit from economic assistance, long-term unemployed job seekers and long-term unemployed jobseekers with basic education/no prior education until June 2025.
This policy aims to increase the number of unemployed jobseekers registered in active labor market programs to 8% by June 2026.
It is also expected to increase the number of jobseekers registered in employment offices to 60% of the total number of unemployed, as well as the increase of the number of unemployed jobseekers in vocational training to 20% of the total number of unemployed jobseekers by December 2026.
By providing diversified support adapted to the needs of these groups, the policy aims to increase their employability and the chances of finding stable employment.
During 2023, the total number of jobseekers was 76,580, of which 41,533 were women, 26,909 received economic assistance, 6,870 were Roma and Egyptian, and 1,607 were disabled.
The number of unemployed jobseekers who benefited from Active Labor Market Programs during 2023 reaches 10,017 individuals, of which 2,635 benefited from employment promotion programs and 7,382 from professional training courses.
