Heavy rainfall has also caused significant material damage in the Vlora Region, with the most problematic situation occurring in the municipality of Selenica. As a result of a landslide on the Kotë-Sevaster road axis, near the village of Vajzë, three houses have collapsed.

The Prefect of Vlora District, Evis Allushi, together with the mayor of Selenica, closely inspected the situation on the ground, to assess the damage and to follow up on the necessary interventions by the relevant structures.

"Residents are facing a difficult and uncertain situation. I joined their concern and asked the municipality and all responsible structures to be in continuous service to the community, assuring them of the full support of the prefecture," said Prefect Allushi.

Earlier, the prefect of the Vlora District, in coordination with the mayor of the Novoselë administrative unit, held a meeting with the mayors of the villages of this unit, where preventive measures and informing residents about the risk of the river overflowing its bed were discussed.
