High demand for unskilled workers - Over 270 jobs in the first week of 2026. Who

The year 2026 has started with a high demand for employees in Albania. According to data from the National Employment and Skills Agency, in the first week of this year alone, 272 employment opportunities were announced by various employers.

Regarding the level of education, the vast majority of jobs are oriented towards employees with secondary education. Over 230 of them require this level of qualification, while offers for employees with higher education remain scarce.

But what is specifically most in demand in the labor market?

Over 50 job offers are addressed to ordinary workers, without the requirement for higher education or specific qualifications. Mainly, employers are looking for construction workers, iron workers, bakers, loading and unloading workers, duro-aluminum workers, warehouse workers, as well as similar profiles.

Meanwhile, there is no shortage of demand in the service sector, where waiters, bartenders, and managers for bars and restaurants are needed.

On the other end of the spectrum, qualified employees with a bachelor's or master's degree are least sought after. Of the few job openings advertised for this category, economists, financiers, and engineers are mainly sought after.

According to data and analysis, another characteristic of the Albanian labor market remains the lack of part-time job offers. The culture of Albanian employers continues to be oriented towards full-time contracts, while flexible offers remain limited.
