Rama: Now is the time to invest in Albania - 5 memorandums of understanding signed at "Match Maker Albania"
The main event of the year for business "Match Maker Albania" is underway, bringing together over 800 Albanian and international investors from more than 20 countries. At this event organized by the Albanian Investment Development Agency, 30 private and state projects for investment are presented, thus serving as an opportunity to establish new partnerships.
"Today we will sign 5 memoranda of understanding with counterpart agencies. This event serves to raise Albania's position as a good place to invest. I want to show the world what Albania really is, not only a country rich in natural resources, but also a friendly place to do business. Delegations from 38 countries of the world. This is just the beginning", said Laura Saro, Executive Director of the Albanian Investment Development Agency.
"We are proud to present more than 30 Albanian and international projects that are ready. In 2024 we had 1.6 billion foreign investments. Countries like Greece, Turkey, the Netherlands and others lead the investments. We are increasing our country's resources. We will sign memoranda with Kosovo, Macedonia, Kazakhstan and 3 other countries. Albania's economic profile is changing and MEKI will support any investor who is interested", emphasized Blendi Gonxhja.
According to Prime Minister Edi Rama, "this is the right time to invest in Albania, because tomorrow it will be too late, as it will become more expensive than now. There is also something very cheap here, the mountains. Whoever invests in the mountains today will be rewarded very quickly".
