Rama shares a view from the Murriz tunnel: Ready on March 14!
Prime Minister Edi Rama today shared views from the Murriz tunnel, part of the Arbri road connecting Tirana with Dibra, which is expected to open on March 14.
From the published video, it can be seen that the tunnel is ready for vehicle traffic.
"On March 14, we will open the Murriz tunnel for access to all vehicles, while work will continue on the auxiliary, emergency tunnel," declared Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, as she inspected the works on the Murriz tunnel on February 21.
The Murriz Tunnel is 3.78 kilometers long and consists of two tubes, one for traffic and one for emergency, with 11 exits. Meanwhile, Arbri Road has 7 tunnels, with a total length of 8.5 km.
With a length of about 74 km, the Arbri Road will become an important East-West connecting corridor and will not only bring the citizens of Tirana and all of Albania closer to Dibra and North Macedonia, but will also be an artery of economic development and tourism.
