Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted today regarding the fire situation in the country, thanking all forces engaged in extinguishing them, while emphasizing that arsonists should receive the most severe punishment provided by law.

In a post on social media, Rama shared footage of the work of troops engaged in extinguishing the fires that have engulfed several areas of the country in recent days.

"Thank you, respect, heartfelt gratitude to the firefighters, military forces, police, volunteers and residents who are facing the flames, risking their lives to protect people, homes and our nature," he emphasized.

Prime Minister Rama said that "those who intentionally start fires, destroy property and endanger lives, in this difficult time of global warming and flames that are challenging all Mediterranean countries in particular, must receive the most severe punishment provided by law."

The situation in Delvina remains critical, with the fire continuing to burn at high intensity throughout the night. Flames continue to burn in the hills surrounding the city, while aerial intervention by helicopter has also begun.

Even in Gramsh yesterday, but even today the situation is more difficult in the village of Menkollar, where three fire engines are present accompanied by numerous army forces, volunteers and numerous residents of the area, as well as two helicopters that are constantly dropping water to prevent the spread of flames.
