Final voter list published - UK: 3,713,761 Albanians eligible to vote, 114,642 voting for the first time
3,713,761 Albanians will have the right to vote according to data generated by the General Directorate of Civil Status. The Ministry of Interior has published the final list for the May 11 elections, listing the citizens who can go to the ballot boxes to elect the new parliament for the next 4 years.
According to the list, 114,642 citizens will vote for the first time this year, after reaching the age of 18, which is the age required by law to exercise the right to vote. Meanwhile, for the first time in the history of parliamentary elections in the country, the electoral lists include two categories: Voters living in Albania and those living abroad.
According to the Ministry of Interior, the process of compiling the final voter list was carried out under the supervision of CEC auditors, going through several stages in implementation of the President's decree.
Meanwhile, the General Directorate of Civil Status is continuing to prepare the electoral infrastructure. Meanwhile, there will be a total of 5,225 voting centers, distributed throughout the country.
