New panoramic points in Vlora - ADF opens 46.3 million lek tender for two viewpoints (PHOTOS)
The Albanian Development Fund has announced the opening of the tender for interventions to improve tourist access, panoramic points, viewpoints along the Kaninë - Vlorë panoramic road. The estimated fund limit for this project is 46 million and 377 thousand lekë.
According to the document published by the Public Procurement Agency, the two areas selected for the development of panoramic observation structures are positioned along the Vlora - Kaninë by-pass, specifically in the segment below the village of Kaninë, which is also the part with the highest terrain elevations, which allows for a full view of Vlora, the Karaburun peninsula, the island of Sazan, Zvërnec and the Narta lagoon.
According to the document, the objectives for these interventions are to improve the aesthetic appearance of the viewpoint and the surrounding area, to provide optimal conditions for standing by providing shade and opportunities for standing and relaxing. This panoramic point will also eliminate the possibility of accidents.
In their current state, both areas have a relatively flat terrain, where travelers stop and park in an irregular manner. Vehicles are often parked almost to the outer edge of the squares, which can pose a potential safety risk, especially in the evenings, due to the total lack of lighting.
On the other hand, the aim is to restore the values of the natural and urban landscape, to increase tourist attraction and improve the visual experience of visitors, achieving this through the promotion of environmental sustainability.
The document also emphasizes sustainable economic and tourism development, achieving this through improving tourism infrastructure and extending the tourist season, to support long-term economic development, as well as creating new opportunities for the local community and tourists.
Meanwhile, specific interventions have been proposed for both squares, suitable as resting places for travelers, who can enjoy, within safety parameters, the panorama over the city, the Karaburun peninsula, the sea and the island of Sazan, Zvërnec, etc.
