Water supply works in Shkodra are being accelerated - New 70 km line, 8,000 residents will benefit
In Shkodra, work is progressing on a new 70 km water supply line. This investment is being realized thanks to the cooperation between the Municipality and the Water and Sewerage Company.
The project guarantees the supply of drinking water for the Golem area, Dobraçi and several neighborhoods of Region No. 2 in this city. According to the project implementers, the works are progressing at a satisfactory pace.
"This investment includes the rehabilitation of 4 existing pipes that supply the city, replacing the transmission line for the city, the Dobraç area and other areas with a new line," says Ardit Muça, engineer, works supervisor.
For residents, this investment solves the long-standing problem of lack of drinking water, while showing understanding for the temporary difficulties during works on some road segments.
Currently, works are underway to build a collector along the entire length of "Don Bosko" street, as well as to lay a new pipeline line. The beneficiaries of this investment to improve the water supply network in the city and beyond are 8,000 residents.
