For a more peaceful Tirana! - The municipality opens the tender for the reduction of noise pollution
The Municipality of Tirana has announced the opening of the tender for the creation of a strategic noise map. The estimated limit fund of this project is about 5 million ALL.
According to the document published in the Public Procurement Agency, the main goal is the creation of a strategic noise map, which will bring a real overview of the acoustic pollution in the Municipality of Tirana. The information generated by this monitoring campaign will support the further design of measures to determine how to avoid and measures to prevent, reduce and eliminate the harmful effects of exposure to them, including noise nuisance. This is in order to increase the level of protection of health and the environment from noise.
The main objective of the strategic noise map in Tirana Municipality is to design and implement a clear and stable system, where operators and activities that generate noise are in compliance with national noise emission standards, according to the conditions established in the respective areas.
Tirana Municipality aims to minimize the unwanted effects on public health caused by exposure to noise pollution. The creation of a strategic map for noise in the Municipality of Tirana is an important process to identify the basic condition, from where the areas are further categorized according to sources and level of exposure.
According to the document, this process will include research and acoustic monitoring, data analysis on noise levels, as well as consultations with the community and experts in the field of noise pollution.
Noise monitoring will be carried out throughout the territory of Tirana Municipality, including higher intensity of monitored points in areas with high residential density and activities and lower intensity in suburban, rural and natural areas.
