"Mountain Package" begins implementation - Municipalities will identify priority areas for economic development
The instruction for defining detailed rules for the documentation and procedure for declaring priority areas for the development of the mountain economy by all municipalities in the country has been published in the Official Gazette. This instruction is a starting point for the implementation of the “Mountain Package”.
According to the procedures for identifying development zones, within 10 days of the entry into force of this instruction, the mayors of the municipalities will order the establishment of working groups for the identification and mapping of the development zone within the territory of the municipality.
Also for the collection, administration and analysis of requests for preliminary expressions of interest in various subjects presented in various subjects presented on the digital platform dedicated to the implementation of the law "On the Mountains Package".
Meanwhile, cooperation will be established with the relevant local directorate of the State Cadastre Agency to verify the status of the property possessed by the claimant to be recognized as a non-owner possessor in that part of the territory that is intended to be declared a development zone.
On the other hand, assessments and confirmations will be carried out that the proposed development area does not include territories that are part of disputes between border municipalities, etc.
After completing the identification procedures, the mayor will submit to the minister responsible for local government the request for the declaration of a development zone in the territory of the municipality.
The file will include: a summary report of the procedure followed by the municipality, a map of the proposed area, an analytical document on the expected effects and how the declaration of the development area can contribute to the promotion and realization of the potential for economic, industrial or tourist development of the area.
