A more connected South Adriatic region: Increased cooperation between the Port of Durres, Montenegro and Italy!
A group of representatives from the Durres Port Authority is currently participating, on the second day of the meeting, for the "SA Connectivity" project being developed at the port of Bar in Montenegro.
In a post on social media, the APD said that "the main priority of the program focuses on the interconnection of the South Adriatic by improving regional mobility and connectivity, developing and improving sustainable, smart and intermodal mobility at national, regional and local level, including improved access to TEN-T and cross-border mobility."
"This shows that the project aims to increase cooperation and efficiency of connections between the ports involved, using advanced technologies and sustainable approaches to maritime transport and logistics," said APD.
The partners of the “SA Connectivity” project are institutions and authorities from Italy, Albania and Montenegro, including: Puglia Region (Italy) – Lead Partner (LP); Strategic Regional Agency for Ecological and Sustainable Territorial Development (ASSET, Italy); South Adriatic Sea Ports Authority (Italy); Molise Region (Italy); Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy (Albania); Durres Port Authority (Albania); Ministry of Capital Investments (Montenegro); Port of Bari JSC (Montenegro).
The SA Connectivity project, funded by IPA South Adriatic, aims to develop functionalities and integrate operational and IT systems in participating ports.
