Negotiations and chapter 9/ AMF expands cooperation with European regulators - Signed an agreement with the National Bank of Hungary!
The Financial Supervisory Authority (AMF) and the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding, within the framework of the exchange of information and cooperation between the two regulators.
The agreement was signed by the General Executive Director of the Authority, Mrs. Mimoza Kaçi and the Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Hungary, Mr. Csaba Kandrács.
The agreement defines a clear framework of cooperation between the two financial regulators, in the areas where they exercise supervisory functions, with the main focus being the market of collective investment enterprises.
The Memorandum of Understanding establishes cooperation bridges between the two supervisory authorities, in order to protect the interests of consumers and investors, as well as promote integrity, stability and efficiency in the markets under supervision.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding comes a few days after Albania officially opened negotiations with the EU for the group chapters of the Foundations during the Hungarian presidency. The authority is the leading institution of chapter 9 "Financial services", and also gives its contribution to a number of chapters in the negotiation process.
Earlier, the Authority signed a cooperation agreement with the Austrian regulator of financial markets, as well as with the Financial Services Supervisory Commission of Luxembourg.
