Taxes are getting ready to launch the second phase of the operation against informality in the declaration of wages. The first phase provided for the awareness of businesses to self-declare salaries, and for this purpose, businesses were given time until October 20.

In the meantime, businesses that have turned out to be risk subjects in the field of informality of wages have been given a second opportunity to correct the situation. They will have the opportunity to correct the data until November 20. Businesses that have resulted after self-declaration, as entities at risk of informality, have been sent a warning from taxes.

"From the analysis of the data that the Tax Administration has carried out based on the self-declaration you made in September 2024, it results that in your payroll there is a high percentage of employees with minimum wage and specialized professions with wages that do not match the market. For this reason, the Tax Administration considers you a risk subject in the field of salary informality!

On October 1, 2024, the Tax Administration addressed you with a personalized message, in your e-Filing account, through which it encouraged you to accurately and truthfully declare the salaries of your employees by October 20, 2024, but you did not reflect despite the notice.

As above, the Tax Administration, thanks to the advisory approach, in implementation of the awareness campaign it has undertaken, gives you a second opportunity to declare accurately and truthfully in the next payroll, dated November 20, to correct your situation.

If this does not happen even after the second notification, we inform you that you will be the object of continuous control and monitoring in the following period" is written in the notification that Taxes have sent to the subjects.

At the end of the Tax warning, the fact is highlighted that the false declaration of these data constitutes tax evasion and constitutes an administrative and criminal offence.
