Over 1600 jobs are advertised in one month - From manual workers to engineers.

The labor market in Albania continues to face a stark contrast, with unemployment on one side and hundreds of job vacancies on the other. In the last month alone, the National Employment and Skills Agency has announced 1,682 job vacancies in various sectors of the economy.

The most sought-after professions are those requiring medium or technical skills. Specifically, employers are looking for 353 simple manual workers, needed in sectors such as construction, manufacturing and logistics. At the same time, there is a high need for service workers, including 37 waiters for bars and restaurants and 29 salespeople ranging from small markets to boutique salespeople.

The list of requirements also includes more specialized professions. The AKPA lists 17 electricians, duralumin processing workers, tea leaf machine operators, fishing workers, and warehouse workers. Meanwhile, 25 engineers, mainly in the fields of construction, electricity, and mechanics, are also in demand by Albanian companies.

However, the biggest challenge is not the lack of jobs, but the lack of qualified and available labor. Experts point out that a large part of young people intend to leave the country, while another part rejects jobs due to low wages or inadequate conditions.

In this situation, businesses are increasingly facing difficulties recruiting employees, while the state is trying to increase awareness and training through professional courses.
