Fuel sales prices change, Board: Oil 217 lek per liter, gasoline 176 lek per liter

The Transparency Board has again changed the retail and wholesale fuel sales prices. The new prices come into effect today, April 10, 2026, at 6:00 PM and will be valid until the next board meeting.
According to the latest decision, the retail price of diesel will be no more than 217 lek per liter, while the wholesale price will be no more than 205 lek per liter. The retail price of gasoline will be no more than 176 lek per liter, while the wholesale price will be no more than 164 lek per liter.
The announcement distributed by the Board also states that "We draw the attention of every operator of wholesale and retail sales of petroleum by-products to the obligation to implement this decision, and that in case of violations found by various operators, the suspension of activity will be decided. Also, the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Energy declare that they are committed to protecting the interests of Albanian consumers and the principles of competition in the market.
The announcement also makes an additional clarification according to which, based on the implementation of the methodology for calculating the retail sales ceiling prices, the prices are below the limit of the Normative Act of April 3, and consequently the excise duty level will be applied in full, 100%.
