"The right moment to invest in Albania" - Rama: Big changes, sectors are developing rapidly

Albania is ready to welcome, deliver and build an ecosystem around the needs of investors and ready to connect people, businesses and ambitions. This was the message of Prime Minister Edi Rama to investors at the “MatchMaker Albania” forum. The Prime Minister emphasized that tourism and agriculture have a lot to offer and are sectors that are developing rapidly.
“Albania is a country where some big changes are happening in terms of a very important portfolio of diversity that goes from individual tourists to large groups of tourists who want to come and explore the capital, the coast, agriculture, agritourism. This is the country, without a doubt, and we are very happy to see that not only the ambition is there but also the ambition of those who turn their eyes to Albania but it is growing. The second pillar is smart agriculture which still seems like a challenging field where a lot is happening and many products in Albania are developing at a great speed. We strongly believe that our objective of bringing exports to 1 billion euros is within our reach.”
Likewise, innovation and energy were considered sectors with high investment potential.
"Last but not least, energy. It has now become a sector related to diversification, long-term vision, innovation. We believe that Albania will secure its energy sovereignly by the end of this decade."
Meanwhile, the director of the Albanian Investment Development Agency, AIDA, Laura Saro, emphasized that this is the right moment to act, as Albania does not simply offer opportunities, but partnership.
