Minister Salla in Shkodër and Malësi e Madhe: Hearing with farmers on the drafting of the 2026 National Scheme

The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Andis Salla, following the tour of hearings with farmers for the drafting of the National Scheme 2026, held meetings today in the Shkodër region, with two stops in Shkodër and Malësi e Madhe, continuing the direct dialogue with farmers on the real needs of the agricultural sector.
During the hearing with farmers, Minister Salla emphasized the importance of direct dialogue to reflect on existing issues and build a fairer and more inclusive scheme. “In the next hearing with farmers, we are talking openly about what has not worked and we are conceptualizing the National Scheme 2026 on security, inclusiveness and addressing the missing support,” the minister said.
He underlined that the National Scheme 2026 will be based on clear and equal principles for all farmers. “A scheme with clear and equal rules for all, aligned with European Union standards, that guarantees fair payments, making the sector stronger, more competitive and more sustainable,” Salla stressed.
During the meetings in Shkodër and Malësia e Madhe, Minister Salla was also accompanied by the mayors of the respective municipalities, while the conversation with farmers focused on the real needs of the field and on suggestions for improving public support for the agricultural sector.
The round of hearings for the National Scheme 2026 will continue in other regions of the country, with the aim of ensuring that support policies are built on the direct contribution of farmers and in accordance with European Union standards.
