Milot-Balldre, will the works start next year? - Concession competition, Deputy Minister: We are reviewing the offers for the 365 million euro contract

"Works on the construction of the Milot-Balldre road axis are expected to begin in the middle of next year." Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Enkelejda Muçaj has provided details on the progress of the selection of the company that will carry out the works and the conclusion of the contract for this segment.
The concession competition for the construction of the Milot - Balldre road axis closed in October, paving the way for the review of the bids submitted by the companies.
In total, there are 3 companies that have shown interest, while if this phase is successfully concluded, then the contract will be signed with the winning company and the start of work on this important segment, part of the Adriatic-Ionian corridor.
The concession competition aims precisely to find a private company that will build the axis, a process that, according to the tender documents, is expected to last 30 months from the signing of the contract.
The total estimated value of the project is around 365 million euros, excluding VAT, while the duration of the contract will be 35 years. The Milot-Balldre axis is around 17 km long.
