"New law on party financing to be approved by December" - Celibashi and Gonzato: Electoral Reform to ensure transparency
The financing of political parties was the focus of a roundtable discussion between the Central Election Commission, IDEA and the Center for the Rule of Law at the University of Helsinki.
Present at the conference, the European Union Ambassador, Silvio Gonzato, said that this is a critical moment for Albania and changes must be made with transparency.
Chief Commissioner Ilirjan Celibashi, in his speech, took stock of the problems encountered and called for the new law on the financing of political parties to be approved within December.
