5.2 billion lek support, the Chamber starts hearings for the 2026 National Scheme

The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Andis Salla, has launched today from Librazhdi the tour of hearings with farmers in the framework of the drafting of the National Scheme 2026, with the aim of building a support scheme based on the real needs of the terrain and in full compliance with European Union standards.
During the conversation with farmers, Minister Salla emphasized that the drafting of the National Scheme 2026 is being done in a comprehensive manner. “Today we started the round of hearings with farmers to build the National Scheme 2026 together with them, based on the real needs of the field and in full compliance with European Union standards,” he said.
The Minister announced that after supporting over 65 thousand farmers through the National Scheme 2025, the 2026 Scheme will have an initial budget of 5.2 billion lek, or 16% higher compared to the previous year. According to him, this scheme will be redesigned in line with the long-term vision of the development of the agricultural sector. “The National Scheme 2026 will be redesigned, in line with the #Agriculture2030 vision,” emphasized Minister Salla.
In conclusion, he underlined that the farmer remains at the center of public policies. “Every public lek must be translated into more production, more quality and more competitiveness, for a modern, sustainable and European agriculture,” declared the minister.
Present at this meeting were the Political Leader of the Elbasan District, Arbjan Mazniku, the Mayor of Librazhd, Mariglen Disha, and the Mayor of Prrenjas, Nuri Belba.
The round of hearings with farmers will continue in other regions of the country, aiming for the direct involvement of agricultural communities in the drafting of the 2026 National Scheme.
