Trump's invitation to Rama to the "Peace Board" - Spiropali: High appreciation for the new role that Albania has taken on over the years
A few days ago, US President Donald Trump, through a letter to Prime Minister Edi Rama, invited the Republic of Albania to join a new international organization called the "Peace Board" for Palestine, in the capacity of a "Founding Member Country".
The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Elisa Spiropali, during a press conference, praised this invitation as a high appreciation for the new role that Albania has taken on over the years in matters of peace, security and stability, in our region of course, but also within international organizations.
"There is no doubt that the invitation of the President of America is also a direct assessment of the leadership of Prime Minister Edi Rama, who was personally invited as a member of the "Peace Board".
"Our experience as a country that has emerged from deep darkness, has left behind difficult relationships and has invested in peace, coexistence and regional cooperation without borders, but let me add, our extraordinary model of religious coexistence is also an added value that Albania will bring to the high table of the Peace Board, with the status of Founding Member, which gives Albania a historic opportunity in shaping the vision, principles and solutions of the Peace Board for the good of humanity."
Referring to the statute of the "Peace Board", Spiropali stated that the founding members have an equal voice and real weight in the strategic direction of this organization, therefore this invitation is not only a great honor, but also a high state responsibility.
