Agreement on eco-industrial parks/ Suarez: Long-term vision for more competitive and efficient industries!
The Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation (MEKI) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, signed today the agreement that supports the development of Eco-Industrial Parks in Albania.
The signing of this cooperation agreement represents a key step in developing the policies and regulatory framework necessary to enable the sustainable transformation of industrial zones in Albania, in line with EU environmental standards and the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans.
Javier Suarez, Country and Economies Advisory Manager at IFC, participated today in the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement that supports the development of Eco-Industrial Parks in Albania.
He praised the signing of the agreement as a very important moment for the next chapter that Albania will have on the path towards EU integration.
"I am very pleased to be here today and that we are all together to mark this important milestone for sustainable industrial development," said Suarez.
"The agreement signed today reflects a shared commitment to cooperation between our institutions but also to a long-term vision to have cleaner, more efficient and more competitive industries according to EU standards," he said.
