New 110 kV Zogu i Zi-Tirana, Center line - Construction tender opens. Security of electricity supply improved
The Public Procurement Agency has announced the opening of the competition for the construction of the new 110 kilovolt Zogu i Zi – Tirana, Center electrical line, as well as for the performance of works at the Tirana, Center electrical substation. The project aims to improve the security and sustainability of the electricity supply in the capital.
The estimated limit fund for the realization of this investment amounts to 287 million and 336 thousand lekë. According to the document published by the Public Procurement Agency, the scope of the contract includes the construction of foundations and the installation of three 110 kV terminals with arresters for the new Zogu i Zi - Tirana cable line, Center, at the Tirana substation. It is also envisaged to install three other 110 kV terminals in the metal structures mounted at the Zogu i Zi substation.
The main goal of this project is to increase the security of electricity supply, reduce the risk of outages and improve the functioning of the power grid in urban areas with high load. The works will be carried out in accordance with international safety and quality standards in the field of electricity.
Referring to the Public Procurement Agency document, all parts with voltage up to 1000 volts will be insulated in such a way as to avoid any accidental contact. The document emphasizes that all parts with voltage that can be touched by hand must be insulated from direct contact, either through the use of insulating means, adjusting the position of the equipment or using special equipment.
