Who is excluded from the OSHEE agreement? Hima: New schemes give customers the opportunity to repay their obligations
Regarding the OSHEE Group agreement for the settlement of arrears of electricity, the director of the sales and collection department, Mentor Hima, in a statement to the media provided details about all beneficiaries and the methods of settling the debts.
"OSHEE has approved new settlement schemes to enable all debtor customers to repay their arrears, created until 2023. This scheme is expected to include all categories of customers, family and non-family. As always, OSHEE, in respect of its social commitment, has foreseen that families in need, people with special status, and pensioners will also be included in the scheme, giving them the opportunity to repay their arrears with minimum installments of 1,200 lek and 2,800 lek. But this does not exclude the possibility of choosing an alternative installment for all those categories of customers who wish to repay their total electricity obligation in a shorter time. Always adhering to the maximum term of 240 installments," said Hima.
But what path will be followed for those clients who still have obligations during 2024 or 2025?
"In the 2025 settlement schemes, it is foreseen to repay the liabilities created until December 31, 2023. For all clients who have created liabilities during 2024 and onwards, they will not be included in these schemes, provided that the newly created liabilities, i.e. those of 2024 and 2025, are repaid in advance," he declared.
For all those family and non-family subscribers, if they pay the installment of their outstanding electricity obligations in one go, they will receive benefits.
"This is one of the other opportunities that OSHEE Group offers to all debtor clients, in case there are clients who wish to repay the entire obligation in a single installment or a single payment, they benefit from an interest reduction of 50% to 100%, depending on the category they belong to," added Hima.
Meanwhile, regarding the documentation that must be presented at customer care centers, for family subscribers, the applicant's ID is required, for small businesses, a receipt, business receipts, and proof of tax liability are required. Meanwhile, for all those applicants who are part of the assistance, etc., proof of their special status is required.
