More charging points are required for electric vehicles - The increase in

The rapid increase in the number of electric cars during 2024 has brought a great need for the development of the relevant infrastructure, including the installation of charging points.

A recent example is the Central Inspectorate, which has published a tender for the installation of fast chargers for electric vehicles.

During the month of November, a total of 7 tenders were registered from different institutions for the device with an electric charger, which proves that the interest in this technology is growing and is becoming more and more widespread.

According to data from the General Directorate of Road Transport Services, only in the first 10 months of 2024, about 2,500 electric vehicles were imported, a figure that shows an increasing trend in the use of these vehicles.

This growth has led many companies and individuals to invest in the purchase of electric cars, which offer numerous benefits such as low operating costs, comfort during travel, lower pollution and ease in tax payments.

In this context, the flow of charging points is mainly focused on the capital, where the demand is higher. However, a significant part of these points are installed in taxi stands, which are already one of the main users of electric cars.
