Energy, 2600 businesses will be disconnected from OSHEE - Liberalization of the market, General: They must choose the supplier themselves
From January 1 of the coming year, about 2,600 businesses that are connected to the 10 kV voltage will enter the free energy market, choosing their own supplier. The administrator of the Free Market Supplier, Albi Gjenerali says that these businesses risk the interruption of electricity, in case they do not take the necessary steps to conclude contracts with the suppliers operating in the market.
"They are obliged by law to find a free market supplier and they are obliged to declare a free market supplier by December 15, 2024 because if they do not complete this process, they are at risk from January 1 of the year 2025, the electricity will be cut off by the Distribution System Operator", - says the General.
Businesses who are unsure about the process can go to the customer care points to get the necessary information.
"I call on everyone, within December 15, 2024, to appear at the FTL offices or at any customer care point of the OSHEE Group to receive the relevant information regarding the conclusion of the contract in the free market", - says the administrator of the Free Market Supplier.
Meanwhile, FTL itself as part of OSHEE Group is one of the suppliers that can be selected by the Enterprises that will enter the free market, as the price of energy for these customers will be 18.34 ALL/kWh, excluding VAT.
"It offers a contract with a fixed price, at least 1 year, which gives them the opportunity to make their accounts and business plans and there are no surprises that interrupt the service or change the price during the year. So it creates a good stability of supply for all these subscribers", - says the General.
The entry into the free market of 2,600 customers connected to the 10 kV voltage comes after the one last year with the liberalization of about 2,100 businesses connected to the 20 kV voltage. Earlier, the businesses connected to the 35 kV voltage were also disconnected, while there is still no notification for the 6 kV voltage or the family consumers who are mainly connected to the 0.4 kV voltage.
