January-November, increase of over 82% in electric vehicles - DPSHTRR: Green cars, increasingly present in circulation

Green vehicles continue to increase their dominance on the roads of Albania. The General Directorate of Road Transport Services announces that the fleet of electric vehicles in the country is experiencing a significant increase. Citizens seem to be increasingly oriented towards sustainable and environmentally friendly transportation.
According to data from the General Directorate of Road Transport Services, during the period January-November 2025, a total of 5,312 All-Electric vehicles were registered for the first time, a figure that shows an increasingly high interest of citizens in clean technologies.
Meanwhile, this increase represents an 82.6 percent expansion compared to the same period in 2024, confirming the positive trend towards the use of ecological vehicles and the reduction of pollution in road transport. Also, these figures demonstrate a transformation in the transport culture in our country and reflect the interest of citizens in green transport alternatives.
On the other hand, the increase in the number of electric vehicles in circulation directly contributes to reducing harmful emissions and improving air quality.
With more and more green vehicles on our roads, the country is moving towards a cleaner, more sustainable and more environmentally friendly transportation system, following contemporary standards of sustainable development, for a better future for future generations.
