Investments for the electricity network in Fier and Patos/ OSSH opens two tenders with a total fund limit of 204 million lek. The aim is to increase the quality
The Regional Directorate of OSSH Fier has announced the opening of the tender for the reconstruction of the medium voltage network, low voltage and feeder cabins, Patos 35/6 kV substation. The estimated limit fund made available is 104 million and 289 thousand lekë.
Referring to the strategy for the development and improvement of electrical networks, among other things, the normalization of loads on medium voltage lines and to respond to the urban and demographic development of the area, the electrical network project has been drafted.
According to the document published by the Public Procurement Agency, this investment includes 2 feeders, the construction of 3 new booths, the relocation of 7 existing booths and the reconstruction of 8 booths. This area has experienced a major change during the transition years, increasing the number of subscribers.
Meanwhile, in another procedure, a limited fund of 100 million lek will be financed for the project that extends to the outskirts of Fier and includes a geographical area of 35 km2, as well as about 400 family and private subscribers. These cabins where reconstruction will be intervened are supplied by the new Fieri 110/20 substation.
The areas included in the project are the areas of the villages of Drizë and Vadhizë, developed with existing buildings before the 1990s, as well as with new buildings. The document emphasizes that the low-voltage network of these areas was built in 1970 at the time of the electrification of Albania and is highly depreciated. Also, the extensions of these low-voltage lines, which in many cases were built by the residents themselves during the transition period that the company has previously gone through, are beyond technical conditions.
Referring to the document, an appropriate electrical infrastructure will be built to guarantee a quality service to current consumers and at the same time be in line with the expected long-term developments of the area.
