Energy debts, 8300 agreements/schemes, OSHEE: Family members lead, 1,234 businesses also beneficiaries
OSHEE Group reports positive progress in relief schemes for the settlement of arrears, with over 8,300 agreements concluded during the period 2024–2025.
According to official data, as of September 2, 2025, about 7,083 agreements have been signed with family debtor clients. Of these, 4,780 clients have immediately repaid the entire obligation, benefiting from a reduction in late interest of up to 70%. Meanwhile, for non-family subscribers, which includes businesses, 1,234 clients are reported to have joined the debt settlement schemes in installments. Of these, 887 benefited from a 50% reduction in interest, while 34 liquidated the entire obligation and received a 100% forgiveness.
The approved schemes cover accumulated liabilities until December 31, 2023, while the payment of the debt is made in fixed monthly installments, in addition to the monthly energy consumption bill.
Under the scheme currently being applied, family clients receiving economic assistance and pensioners can repay their debt in fixed monthly installments of 1,200 lek, while the rest of the family clients can repay their debt in installments of 2,800 lek. For businesses, payments will be determined according to the value of the debt and can be extended up to 120 installments.
In parallel, OSHEE has also approved a late payment interest reduction scheme: family members who repay the obligation at once benefit from a 70% reduction in late payment interest, while non-family customers benefit from a 100% reduction. To benefit from these benefits, subscribers must have liquidated the obligations created during 2024 and onwards. The signing of the agreements takes place at the Customer Care centers.
