New platform "Startup Albania" launched/ Rama: Through AI we eliminate bureaucracy for businesses
The “Startup Albania” platform will be the new bridge connecting talent with support, ideas with investment, and Albania with the European digital economy. Prime Minister Edi Rama has introduced this platform as a new step in supporting new entrepreneurship, innovative ideas, and youth creativity.
"One of the things that we will materialize very soon is the National Innovation Council, which in practice will be the main actor with all stakeholders who will share ideas, concerns and propose solutions. Another thing that we are very keen on is to increase our efforts as an accelerator with the Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, which will help in spreading the power of artificial intelligence and we want to give everyone the opportunity to work with anonymous data and support the transformation of every ministry and every agency into an artificial intelligence-oriented practice. We want to eliminate as much as possible all bureaucratic obstacles for businesses, starting from the issuance of residence permits, or work permits and the different types of documentation that are needed abroad or within the country and all the rules that they must implement . "
Meanwhile, the Minister of Economy and Innovation, Delina Ibrahimaj, explained in more detail what the benefits of this platform will be.
"The startup agency returns from transparent procedures that are made by artificial intelligence and it is not just about the grant scheme but about all those elements that a startup needs to develop. In two years we have doubled the number of startups and Albania ranks first for the number of women in this system at 37%. "
Startup Albania is considered a concrete investment and an important step on the path towards European integration, positioning our country as part of the competitive economy of the European Union.
