Investment for the electricity network in Kavaja and Golem/ OSSH opens the tender for over 96 million lek, aiming to increase quality
The Regional Directorate of OSSH Tirana has announced the opening of the tender for investment in the 20kV network, sub-station Kavajë; expansion of the 20 kV network; construction of electrical cabins, as well as construction of the 20 kV network for the Golem area. The estimated limit fund is 96 million and 289 thousand lekë.
According to a document published by the Public Procurement Agency, Kavaja and its peripheral areas are characterized by an intensive development of construction in its coastal area. These factors have caused the growth rates of electricity demand to be quite high.
Referring to the strategy for the development and improvement of the electrical networks that the OSSH has, the project includes 20 kV medium voltage lines, the construction of cabins, as well as the construction of the low voltage network. This project is necessary, as this area currently has a network in poor technical condition, very busy. The project includes a geographical area of 2.52 km² and about 2163 subscribers (households and private).
The area covered by the project is developed with existing buildings from before the 1990s, as well as new buildings. Currently, the areas affected by the investment are supplied by the 20kV feeders of N/St 110/20 Kavajë and Golem, but the low voltage line is uninvested.
The purpose of this project is to increase the quality of electricity for subscribers in the area and to reduce the high level of losses. By carrying out this investment, the security of supply will be increased for all subscribers in the area, according to the document published by the Public Procurement Agency.
