Investment for improving the energy network - OST, 189 million lek for the modernization of the 110 kV Traktora-Farkë line

The Transmission System Operator has announced the opening of the competition for the cable conversion of the 110 kV Traktora - Farkë line segment at the entrance to the Farkë substation. The estimated limit fund for this investment is 189 million and 351 thousand lekë.
According to the document at the Public Procurement Agency, this project aims to increase the security of electricity supply, as well as improve the functioning of the transmission network. The transition of the line to cable is expected to significantly reduce the risk of technical defects and power outages.
According to the document, the works will include the extension of the new cable from the Farkë substation to the final connection point, the construction of new connecting structures, as well as the installation of auxiliary equipment that ensures the normal functioning of the line. In addition, all necessary works will be carried out for the installation, protection and commissioning of the new cable.
After installation is complete, the line will undergo a series of tests before being put into use, in order to guarantee its safety and operation, according to international standards.
The Transmission System Operator emphasizes that this investment is considered an important step towards modernizing the electricity transmission network and strengthening energy security in the Tirana area, contributing to a more stable and reliable supply for consumers.
