Achieving the objectives for membership in the European Union in the water supply and sewage sector requires about 6 billion euros.
The figures were made public by the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Enkelejda Muçaj, during the discussion in parliamentary committees of a 47 million euro loan and a 3 million euro grant for investments in this sector.
Muçaj also announced the areas where investments will be made, through the new program that aims to contribute to the financing of investments for the rehabilitation and expansion of water supply systems and the elimination of polluted waters.
Meanwhile, opposition MPs raised concerns about the lack of water in many areas of the country, seeking solutions.
