Albpetrol produces 65 thousand tons of oil - State-owned company reduces production by 5 thousand tons in 2025

About 65 thousand tons of oil were produced by the public oil extraction company Albpetrol during 2025, marking a decrease of about 5 thousand tons compared to the previous year. After 2020, which was a pandemic year, the amount produced marked an increasing trend, to maintain almost the same levels in the period 2022 - 2024.
However, these are not the best years in terms of black gold extraction by Albpetrol in the last 10 years, given that in the period 2017 - 2019 the amount extracted was greater.
Currently, Albpetrol produces oil from 5 sandy or limestone deposits, more specifically in the deposits: Kuçovë, Patos, Cakran – Mollaj, Gorisht – Kocul and Amoniće. The largest deposit is Gorisht – Kocul, where the largest amount of oil has been extracted in at least the last 10 years.
For the year 2025, the amount of oil extracted from this field reached 29,243 tons. It is followed by the Kuçova field, with 15,743 tons, and Cakran - Mollaj with 12,478 tons.
Meanwhile, according to the latest available data, Albpetrol's revenues reached 6 billion lek for 2024, while expenses reached 6.5 billion lek. In 2024, Albpetrol's investments were recorded at around 250 million lek, although the plan was for 755 million lek.
