Ibrahimaj presents the new strategy for trade facilitation/ Focus on exports, industrial transformation and approximation to EU standards
The Minister of Economy and Innovation, Delina Ibrahimaj, chaired the meeting of the National Trade Facilitation Committee (NTFC), where she emphasized the importance of inter-institutional cooperation and dialogue with the business community, with the aim of facilitating trade and increasing the competitiveness of the Albanian economy.
At this meeting, two strategic documents for the country's economic development were presented: the Action Plan for the Reduction of Non-Tariff Barriers under Articles 34–36 of the TFEU and the National Export Program 2025–2030.
-The Action Plan aims to eliminate unnecessary procedures and barriers that restrict the free movement of goods, facilitating business activity and preparing the country for the next step in the European integration process. Meanwhile, the National Export Promotion and Facilitation Program sets the direction for the country's economic development in the next five years, increasing exports, increasing added value and diversifying Albanian markets. It includes concrete financial, technical and certification instruments to support business to be stronger and more integrated into global markets.
"Our goal is to build a modern, productive and exporting economy, aligned with EU standards. This requires commitment, coordination and close cooperation with all stakeholders involved. I thank you for your presence and the contributions you will bring to this process", said Minister Ibrahimaj.
Referring to the government's objectives and program, the targeted results by 2030 are real growth in exports, diversification of markets and reduction of production chain dependencies, industrial transformation and increased productivity, increased employment in the manufacturing and digital sectors, as well as accelerated approximation to EU standards.
The Ministry of Economy and Innovation remains committed to the implementation of these two strategic documents, which will contribute to strengthening the competitiveness of the Albanian economy and accelerating the integration process into the European Union.
