Cadastral maps towards digitalization - ASHK: Technical phase begins, services involving map interventions are temporarily suspended
The State Cadastral Agency has announced the launch of the technical phase for the digitalization of physical cadastral maps, an important process that aims to improve the administration of property documentation throughout the country.
According to the announcement from the ASHK, the project is being implemented in cooperation with UNOPS and envisages the full digitization of cadastral maps, which are currently stored in physical format. The process will be carried out in several technical stages, including the inventory of existing documents, their professional scanning, georeferencing and then uploading to the electronic system for long-term administration and storage.
This transformation is considered an important step towards modernizing cadastral services, increasing transparency and ensuring the security of real estate data.
During the implementation of the technical process, the State Cadastral Agency announces that services requiring direct intervention in the physical map will be temporarily suspended for a period of 21 days in the cadastral areas that will be included in the project. This suspension, according to the institution, is necessary to guarantee the accuracy, integrity and security of the documentation during the transfer to the digital system.
After the process is completed, the digital cadastral map will serve as an official document for the administration of property data in Albania.
