Gjirokastër, the connecting cobblestone road in the "7 Springs" area is completed - Edi Rama: The new path creates another tourist pole in the stone city
In Gjirokastra, the works on the cobblestones and the connecting road in the “7 Krojeve” area have been completed. A video of the completion of the works has been shared by Prime Minister Rama on his social networks. The head of government says that “this investment opens a new path in discovering the hidden beauties of the stone city and creates another tourist pole”.
Investments in Gjirokastra are focused on reviving tradition and turning the city into a destination more visited by domestic and foreign tourists. They have started with the complete restoration of the Bazaar area and its return to pedestrianization, which brought about a major change in tourism in Gjirokastra.
Tourism leaders in this municipality say that their investments "precede the summer tourist season, which includes a rich calendar of cultural and artistic activities, the promotion of folk values, tradition, etc."
The complete restoration of the city's cobblestone streets and the construction of underground parking in the center for tourism purposes have increased the tourist flow. The first to feel this change are the businesses in the area, which have expanded beyond the doors of their retail units. Chairs and tables are placed on the cobblestones, where they serve the numerous tourists and visitors.
