Albpetrol produces 26,550 tons of oil - Data for January - June 2025, from the public company's 5 oil fields
About 26,550 tons of oil was produced by Albpetrol in the first 6 months of 2025, in all the fields managed by the public company. Currently, Albpetrol produces oil from 5 sandy or limestone fields, more specifically in the fields: Kuçovë, Patos, Cakran – Mollaj, Gorisht – Kocul and Amoniće.
The largest field is Gorisht – Kocul, where at least in the last 10 years the largest amount of oil has been extracted. For the year 2025, the amount of oil extracted from this field has reached over 11,600 tons. It is followed by the Kuçova field, with about 6,400 tons, and Cakran – Mollaj with about 5,500 tons.
As for last year, the public company closed 2024 with about 70,250 tons of oil produced, an amount almost the same as in the last 2 years. After 2020, which was a pandemic year, the amount produced has shown an increasing trend, to maintain almost the same levels in the period 2022 - 2024.
However, these are not the best years in terms of black gold extraction by Albpetrol in the last 10 years, given that in the period 2017 - 2019 the amount extracted was greater.
A total of 6,799 wells have been drilled in Albania, while the Albpetrol company currently manages around 1,202 active oil wells, with a daily production of around 206 tons.
