Energy from photovoltaic parks/ Balluku: We aim to return to an exporting country!

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Belinda Balluku informed today that 10% of the total energy in the country is produced by photovoltaic parks.
Through a video message from the Photovoltaic Park in Karavasta, inaugurated yesterday with the participation of authorities and senior representatives of the company, Balluku emphasized that, " this is an investment made by the excellent French company "Voltalia".
She described this project as an important step in energy diversification, when in 2013 this figure was 0.
The Minister also noted that the Karavasta Solar Park, the largest in the Balkans, and a number of other power plants across the country have increased production capacities.
"By 2030, we aim for 30% of the country's energy to be produced from solar parks. Through diversification of sources, we increase capacities. Albania will become an energy exporter ," she declared.
According to her, today a number of international companies have come to Albania, showing confidence in Albania to invest in energy renewal and if we have a dry year, as it seems that 2025 will be, we are not anxious about the price of imported energy since we have solar energy, thus making it an important factor between energy production from hydroelectric power plants and energy from photovoltaic parks.
Balluku said that, " this is the National Energy Strategy that will make Albania a net energy exporting country and the Strategy that reduced the price of energy for citizens for the first time."
