Director General of Customs, meeting with Anti-Smuggling structures: Strengthening the fight against illegality

The Director General of Customs, Besmir Beja, held a meeting with the structures of the Anti-Smuggling Directorate, conveying a clear message about strengthening the fight against illegality and thanking them for the actions of recent days.
The focus of the meeting was on increasing efficiency in preventing and detecting customs violations, as well as increasing presence throughout the country. Director Beja called for more vigilance and increased awareness of the key role that this directorate has in guaranteeing fair and secure trade.
He congratulated the Anti-Smuggling structure for the concrete results of recent days, where within just one week three important operations against illegality were successfully finalized, describing this as a clear indicator of professionalism and determination in the field.
In his message, the Director General emphasized that Anti-Smuggling should not be seen as a “second link” of the administration, but as a structure with a direct and decisive role in controlling the territory. “Expectations towards every employee who wears this uniform are high,” he said, guaranteeing full institutional support for the fulfillment of the mission.
In conclusion, Director Beja described the Anti-Smuggling structure as the "guardian of legality" in the Customs Administration, underlining that the fight against smuggling remains a non-negotiable priority.
