The most "coveted" destinations from Rinas Airport - Mainly Italian ones, Vathi: Interest increased with the addition of direct lines
Albanians' curiosity about new European cities and countries, vacations in traditional places, or even foreign tourists, have significantly increased the number of flights from Rinas by about 35% last year.
In total, 68,300 flights were operated at Rinas Airport. The most prominent destinations remained mainly Italian cities such as Rome, Milan and Bergamo, but Madrid, Vienna and Stockholm were not left behind either, which had recorded a 170% increase in flights with Rinas.
The depreciation of the euro during 2024 and the increasingly attractive low-cost tickets for Albanians have led, according to INSTAT, to up to 6.43 million trips by Albanian citizens for vacation, mainly during the summer months, or for other purposes.
According to data from Rinas Airport, around 10.7 million entries into Albania via air transport were recorded, accounting for around 90% of the total number of citizens who entered the territory of Albania last year.
