According to the latest data from the Central Election Commission, by 2:00 p.m., 13.68% of voters in the country's 5 municipalities had participated in the elections. Official reports show that the Municipality of Mat holds the first place for the highest citizen participation, followed by the municipalities of Tepelena, Cerrik, Berat and Vlora.
The number of citizens with the right to vote varies from one municipality to another: in Vlora there are around 172 thousand voters, in Berat over 82 thousand, in Cërrik around 39 thousand, in Mat over 29 thousand, while in Tepelena over 12,600 voters.
The electoral process has been conducted peacefully, with no incidents or problems reported so far. The head of the CEC, Ilirjan Celibashi, in a statement to the media, stressed that the voting process is continuing normally and called on citizens to exercise their right to vote.
