Denaj: Improving irrigation-drainage infrastructure strengthens "Made in Albania" brand products!
The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Anila Denaj, shared on social media moments from the work she is carrying out there, where heavy equipment is working to deepen the watershed bed.
She informed that investments in deepening and expanding the embankment of the Zemblak Dam reservoir will ensure increased irrigation of agricultural lands in Maliq.
"Work is ongoing to expand, deepen and reinforce the embankment of the Zemblak Dam reservoir, in the Maliq Municipality, which provides irrigation for an area of 3,100 hectares in the Maliq Plain, through a network of irrigation canals 33 km long," said Denaj.
Denaj emphasized that, by increasing the water capacity of the dam that guarantees water supply for farmers in the area, the aim is to strengthen the "Made in Albania" brand in domestic and international markets.
